Digital Art
This digital piece, created during my final year in high school as part of my Higher Level Art course, marks my first venture into digital art. It is based on a photograph I took during one of my family trips, capturing a moment that resonated with me.
Venturing into digital media for the first time, I aimed to translate the essence of that photograph into a new, dynamic form. The piece reflects my early exploration of digital tools and techniques, blending my love for photography with the creative possibilities of digital art. This work represents a significant step in my artistic journey, as I began to expand my skills and experiment with new mediums.

Digital Art
This digital piece portrays me standing by a road near my father's house in Japan—a place where I spent many of my summers, yet never a place I could truly call home. The street holds good memories, but it always felt more like a summer house than a permanent home.

In the artwork, I depicted myself as upset, holding a plastic bag, symbolizing the transient nature of my experiences. The melancholy expression reflects the bittersweet realization of being a third-culture kid—caught between different worlds, never fully belonging to any one place. This piece captures the complex emotions of nostalgia and displacement, a reminder that even familiar places can feel distant when they aren’t truly home.
