Cultural Mosaic: The Places That Shape Me
Singapore
Singapore is the place where I was born, and although I didn’t live there long term, it holds a special place in my heart. My family and I returned almost every year for holidays, and looking back, it feels like a second home. The city is filled with nostalgic childhood memories that have shaped my connection to it over the years.
Vietnam
Vietnam has been my home for 18 years, ever since I moved there at the age of 1. Although I’m not Vietnamese by nationality, the country holds a special place in my heart. The styling projects I create will reflect this deep connection, capturing the influence of the place that shaped so much of who I am.
Japan
Japan is my nationality, and growing up, I frequently visited my father’s house in the countryside and spent time with my grandparents. Later, I moved to Tokyo for university, which added another layer to my connection with Japan. My styling projects aim to reflect these experiences, blending the contrasts between the peaceful countryside and the vibrant city life of Tokyo.
United Kingdom
The United Kingdom is where I currently reside as I pursue my master’s in fashion film. Although I’ve only been here for a short time, it marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in my creative journey. I’m eager to see how living and studying here will shape my styling and influence my work moving forward.
PROJECTS COMING SOON
Exciting styling projects inspired by my multicultural background in Vietnam, Japan, Singapore, and the United Kingdom are on the way! Stay tuned as I share my creative explorations that celebrate these diverse influences.
